Description
Similar to the cymbal of the same name, Matt Garstka's Equilibrium Hi-Hat offers a unique balance between attack, tone, response, and volume. Various zones of the cymbal have been lathed to produce a particularly bright sound, while others have been left untreated to enhance the attack and bite. The dry character of the Equilibrium Hi-Hat, on the other hand, is due to the sandblasting in other areas of the cymbal.
Six holes on the rim of the bell of the bottom cymbal give the hi-hat additional chickiness when struck with the foot. This signature model by Matt Garstka offers a wide range of dynamics and can be used in a variety of situations: from a washy sound to a short, crisp Attack to a powerful chick.
