The third generation of Star Reserve snares was developed to achieve an extremely powerful sound. The combination of bubinga, walnut, and the maple sound focus ring produces a sharp yet resonant tone.
 
The Claro Walnut outer layer in a transparent, dark high-gloss finish gives the snare a very sophisticated appearance. In addition to the Sound Arc Hoops, another special feature are the newly developed Star Tube Lugs, which ensure smooth tuning and tuning stability.
