In the 80s, Tama set new standards with the Superstar and Imperialstar series.
The perfect drums for their time. But Tama's drum makers wanted to go a step further and create drum sets that would be timeless and not stand out due to fashion trends or be tonally inflexible. In 1994, Tama started the revolution of extremely thin shells. Since then, many magnificent versions of the Starclassic series have been introduced, which still set the standard in terms of sound and manufacturing quality.
