In the 1980s, Tama set new standards with the Superstar and Imperialstar series. They were the perfect drums for their era. But Tama's drum makers wanted to go a step further and create drum sets that would be timeless, not characterized by fashion trends or tonally inflexible. In 1994, Tama launched the revolution of ultra-thin shells. Since then, many magnificent versions of the Starclassic series have been introduced, which still set the standard in terms of sound and manufacturing quality.
