Description
The evolution of the Starclassic from Maple, Birch, Bubinga, Birch/Bubinga continues, and now, after intensive analysis, rigorous research, development and product testing, we now have the latest development of the Starclassic, Starclassic Walnut/Birch. We have found the perfect ratio of walnut to birch, which produces a superior sound from the lows and mids. The higher sounds come from the birch. The sound is familiar, but unmistakably different from the Tama sound of the past. The Starclassic series continues to represent all of our passion and Experience in drum building.
The combination of birch and walnut creates a tonal focus, particularly in the low and mid-frequency ranges. Birch delivers the necessary, clear attack at higher frequencies, while walnut complements the lows. The typical sound of the TAMA Starclassic is clearly audible, yet expanded and presents the current, modern drum sound.
