We have found the perfect ratio of walnut to birch, producing a superior sound from the lows and mids. The higher sounds come from the birch. The sound is familiar, yet unmistakably different from the Tama sound of the past. The Starclassic series continues to represent our passion and experience for drum building and our pursuit of the perfect sound.
