The evolution of the Starclassic from Maple, Birch, Bubinga, Birch/Bubinga continues, and now, after intensive analysis, rigorous research, development, and product testing, we have the latest development of the Starclassic, Starclassic Walnut/Birch. We have found the perfect ratio of walnut to birch, which produces a superior sound from the lows and mids. The higher sounds come from the birch. The sound is familiar, but unmistakably different from the Tama sound of the past. The Starclassic series continues to represent all of our passion and Experience in drum building and our pursuit of the perfect sound.
